Hi Guys,

Here we are - the end of July / first of August - wow! Life happens quickly! This email has a ton of details, information, enrollment, school calendar, etc.

Updates:
Hopefully you all know by now, but we are super excited to welcome Mrs. Emily Tanner to our Learning Team and her son, Jake to our pod of learners. She is already working hard on planning and prep for joining us!

Kris has graciously helped me to get out Enrollment Links ready for you guys to fill out. We are trying to keep these types of things to a minimum, but we are super thankful for your patience and support. (Links below)

Allison has finished our FIRST TCA Yearbook - I almost cried (shocker) when I opened it to review! I hope you all love it as much as I do! Allison will send out a link or how to order in the GroupMe. I believe you can also add custom pages to your own book! Thank you for leading this project, Allison!

Reminders:
If you haven't paid your $500 deposit for next year, please do so at your earliest convenience via Zelle or check. Also, tuition payments should begin in August. Please reach out to Micah with questions or concerns.

Don't forget about working on Saxon math lessons (10 total for the summer) and reading! Let me know if you have questions or concerns please.

School Calendar:
I have worked so hard on our calendar for the 2025-26 school year! (Print pdf from here). I hope it is helpful for all of your family planning. Please notice the (*) beside a few of the items that I am still working on - mainly field trips and service projects.
Our first field trip has been confirmed to iFly in Atlanta for Wednesday, September 10 at 10:30 AM. Due to the size of our group, the cost is $50 per flyer (adults can fly to). I will need to know ASAP who will be attending. I am inviting some of the homeschool families who joined us last year to attend as well.

The Dudley's have invited us to swim and fellowship at their house the following dates:
Tuesday, August 5th - bring a lunch and swim (11-2)
Thursday, August 21st - evening for swimming and fellowship for the whole Framily
Allison will send more details and confirm dates in the GroupMe.

Important Links:
TCA Framily Guide Book 2025-26 edition - please review
Enrollment (returning families) - please complete per child.
Enrollment (new families) - Tanner family, this is for you.
GA Dept of Education - Homeschool Intent Form - complete per child.

School Supplies:
  1. Each TCA Student needs a reliable pair of headphones that have a speaker on them. One pair for school and one for home is preferred.
  2. Individual organizer for pencils, pens, and such can be purchased (or reused) at your child's discretion. We will provide notebook paper, binders, folders, etc. If your child needs a specific graph paper, please provide that item.
  3. Each family please provide: 1 pack of dry eraser markers (any color or black FAT markers, we have plenty of skinny markers), 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 containers of Clorox wipes, 1 bottle of hand soap, and snacks for your child to leave at school. Keep in mind, we don't have much storage, but I want to have some snacks on hand too. We will likely need more supplies as the year gets started, but this is good for now.
  4. Currently, we have plenty of paper plates and plastic utensils for lunch. We also have plenty of toilet paper and bathroom spray.
With Gratitude and Excitement for the New Year,
Katie
